Personal Training Sessions


Personal Training sessions are available throughout the day, including before and after office hours. During your sessions Max will be with you for 121 quality time and these will be booked on the Team Up app, so you can secure your time slot in advance.

Max will tailor your training sessions to enable you to work strategically and effectively towards achieving your personal goals. The Maximise Fitness App will be available for clients who choose the membership options which include bespoke strength & cardio training programmes. These will be written and reviewed regularly by Max, once your goals and any ailments have been identified. You will also take private check in pictures/videos (not compulsory) monitor weigh ins, follow your nutrition plan and log your data regularly.

Max will often be present in the gym, checking-in with clients and making sure the gym is running smoothly. He will also be available both face to face during your Personal Training sessions and general gym floor time and also online, via WhatsApp messaging. He will arrange private 1-2-1 sessions to alter plans and set new goals as needed.

Along with booking your Personal Training sessions on the Team Up App, you will also book your gym floor time. This allows all members to see how busy each 1 hour slot is so they can decide to train when there are people there or when it is empty

The gym floor can cater for a wide range of fitness and conditioning sessions. Build strength with free weights and machines, improve posture and flexibility, increase your cardio fitness and mental capacity to work hard and push through your own boundaries. The gym offers the following:

  • Available to Personal Training clients of any ability
  • Open 24/7, with a secure door lock and biometric entry for members only
  • Limited membership numbers, so equipment is available when you want it
  • A full range of cardio equipment, Pelotons, rower, treadmills, ski machine, plus ‘stack and lock’ pin loaded machines, free weights, bench press, stretching area and more.

Recovery Suite - Sauna, Ice Bath


Available to book on the Team Up App, at £15 per session.

Max spent part of his Pole Vaulting career in Finland, where regular sauna sessions were normal recovery protocol. Pretty much every family had a sauna inside or outside of their house and it was used almost every evening before their family meal. From a sporting recovery purpose, the sauna was combined with intermittent submersions in the frozen lake.

The sauna boosts healing abilities by stimulating the release of heat shock proteins and increasing Human Growth Hormone levels - which helps maintain normal body structure and metabolism along with regulating blood sugar levels.

The heat causes the blood vessels to open up and then when contrast bathing in the ice bath, the blood vessels constrict, so this repeated process known as hyperthermic training acts like a full body pump, sending blood to muscles and joints that need repairing and also removing waste products, thus aiding the healing process.

You also sweat a lot which opens your pores and allows the skin to detox the body and this also burns calories which can help if you are trying to operate in a daily calorie deficit and makes the heart muscle work harder even by just sitting/lying down.

The sauna at Maximise Fitness is a wet sauna where you throw water onto the coals to feel that deep penetrative heat. You can also add your own aromatherapy oils like Olbas oil to the suspended oil dish. This will help you destress and fully relax.
